How to View a Lane Report
This document covers a step-by-step guide to generating a Lane Report in the Basket Point of Sale system.
- Using the navigation drop-down menu, on the upper left hand corner of the screen, select Sales > Lane Report.
You can filter the report by date range, store, and lane. Use the date range drop-down menu in the upper-left corner to select the period you want to analyze. Then, select the store(s) you wish to view and choose the specific lane(s) you want to generate the report for.
Understanding the Lane Report
Once the Lane Report is generated, it provides a detailed breakdown of sales and tender activity for each individual lane within the selected date range and store(s). Each row represents a lane and displays the date, store, and lane name, followed by the different payment methods used during that period. The report includes tender types such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, cash, gift cards, debit, and other supported payment methods. At the end of each row, you can view the Cash Total and overall Total for that lane. The report also provides a Total row at the bottom, which combines the tender amounts across all lanes included in the selected filters. This allows you to compare activity between lanes and review the overall tender totals for the selected stores and date range.
How to Export the End of Day Report
Once the Lane Report has been generated, you can export the report for record keeping or further review.
- In the upper-right corner of the Lane Report, select Export Excel.
- The report will be downloaded as a file to your device.
- Open the exported file to review, save, print, or share the Lane Report as needed.
