Shelf tags that match the shelf.

Design your own tags and labels, then print them from wherever the change happens. Basket fills in the right price for the store, and prints to a thermal label printer or to PDF.

Design it once, print it anywhere

  • A designer for your own tags

Place text, barcodes and QR codes on a canvas. Set the tag size and margins, choose fonts, and layer the pieces the way you want them.

  • Fields pulled from the item

Add item fields such as UPC, description, price, department, category and vendor, with an optional prefix and suffix, so every tag fills itself in.

  • Rules that change the tag

Show or hide an element depending on an item field, such as a department. One template can cover more than one kind of tag.

  • The right price for each store

Tags print the price for the store you choose, including store-specific price levels. Basket only asks which store when the tag actually depends on it.

  • Thermal labels or paper

Print to Zebra label printers, or to a PDF laid out with as many tags per page as fit. While you design, Basket shows tags per page and a preview of a Zebra printhead.

  • Barcodes that scan

Choose the barcode format. UPC-A and EAN-13 barcodes print with the correct check digit and readable numbers under the bars.

  • Long descriptions still fit

On thermal labels, Basket shrinks a long description until it fits its space, down to 6 pt, instead of cutting it off.

  • Print where the work happens

Print tags from price change batches, received deliveries, inventory batches and newly created products, or from the tag printing screen.

Common questions

Which printers work with Basket?

Basket prints ZPL to Zebra label printers using Zebra Browser Print, and can produce a PDF for any other printer.

Can I design my own tag layout?

Yes. The tag designer lets you place text, barcodes and QR codes, set sizes, margins and fonts, and pull in item fields. You can save several templates.

Will it print the right price for each store?

Yes. Choose the store when you print and Basket uses that store’s price level. If a template does not use store-specific data, it does not ask.

Can I print tags for items I just received?

Yes. You can print tags from a received delivery, from price change batches, from inventory batches, and from products you just created.

Do I need special software?

Only for Zebra printers: install Zebra Browser Print on each computer that prints to one. PDF printing needs nothing extra.
